Nellie Cheng, Secretary and Board member of World Green Building Council, has been working with Green Building Councils in different countries to promote market transformation of Green Industry.  She has played a pivotal role in working with groups in China to establish the China Green Building Council.

Nellie Cheng is currently employed by Vancouver Economic Development Commission, in charge of investment attraction and business development.  Previously, Nellie Cheng worked as Senior Trade Consultant at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), promoting Canadian Healthy Housing and Sustainable Communities in the China market.  Working with Chinese developers, her team has implemented Canadian Super E Healthy Housing and Canadian Sustainable Community projects in Shanghai and Beijing.  Nellie Cheng has been frequently invited to present Canadian expertise in these areas at conferences and workshops in many Chinese cities.
