Mario, a postgraduate from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA, is a Member ofASHRAE, IEEE, and a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, UK. A firm believer in Sustainable Development & Green Building, he actively advocates and facilitates the USGBC's LEED Rating System for enthusiasts around the world. Mario, the Founder & Managing Director of Green Technologies FZCO, Dubai, UAE, was responsible for the Certification of the first LEED Green Building outside the USA, the Kandalama Hotel in Sri Lanka and the First LEED Green Building in the Middle East, the Wafi City District Cooling Chiller Plant in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Mario is a Founder of the Emirates GBC and also is its current Secretary to the Board.
