Dr. Kevin Mo is the Managing Director of Paulson Institute Beijing Representative Office, in charge of climate, energy and sustainable urbanisation. He has more than 25 years' experience in strategising and implementing climate and energy policies in both the U.S. and China. He currently also serves as the Senior Director of EPIC China (Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago). Prior to joining the Paulson Institute, Dr. Mo was the director of Energy Foundation’s China Buildings Program, director of international sustainable buildings project at Natural Resources Defense Council, and lecturer at Tsinghua University's School of Architecture.
He has served as Committee Member of China Green Building Council, Steering Committee Member of the U.S. team for U.S.-China CERC-BEE (Clean Energy Research Center-Building Energy Efficiency), Senior Advisor of China’s National Technical Committee to Building Energy Efficiency Standards, Leadership Council Member of China-U.S. Energy Innovation Alliance, International Advisor to Global Building Performance Network, Technical Advisor to UNEP-SBCI (United Nations Environment Programme-Sustainable Building and Climate Initiative). He received his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, a master’s degree from Tsinghua University, and a bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University.
Kevin Mo joined the WorldGBC Board of Directors in 2019 and he has been nominated by Pakistan Green Building Council.
