Global Advocacy Project Officer
Eddie is WorldGBC's Global Advocacy Project Officer, which sits within the Advancing Net Zero (ANZ) team. In his role, Eddie works closely with WorldGBC's Senior Leadership Team to deliver the ‘Cities & Built Environment Day’ at COP26. He is also the main point of contact for liaising with external partners on this project.
In 2020 Eddie completed an MSc in ‘Global Urban Development & Planning’ at the University of Manchester. He has a special interest at the intersection between the digital revolution and environmental planning, and wrote a dissertation exploring the uses of digital technologies to inform the design, delivery and operation of environmentally-smarter cities towards regenerative outcomes. He also holds an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Warwick.
Previously, Eddie has worked for Arup, as part of their ‘Foresight, Research & Innovation’ teams. With Foresight — Arup’s internal Think Tank — he helped to produce Thought Leadership literature and analyses on emerging trends and potential futures for the built environment. In the Research team he served as an administrator, managing the firm's Global Research portfolio from funding to publication, as well as assisting with producing primary research, including a report on ‘Blockchain and the Built Environment’. Eddie also volunteered as a researcher for the ICLEI-World Secretariat and the Brazilian Think Tank FGV.
Eddie is a keen rugby fan, amateur yachtsman and cyclist.
