Accelerating policy, innovation and finance for our zero carbon future

The organisers of the Sustainable Innovation Forum are delighted to convene the Climate Innovation Forum 2019 during the first ever London Climate Action Week, 1-8 July 2019.

For over a decade, the Sustainable Innovation Forum has been one of the largest official side events at the annual UN COP meetings, bringing together international policy makers, business and finance to catalyse collaboration and innovation for climate action. The Climate Innovation Forum 2019 in London will be the first in a series of regional events aimed at championing innovation to accelerate the zero carbon economy. Focusing on 4 themes – zero carbon energyzero carbon buildingszero wastezero carbon mobility – the event will look to mobilise cross sector collaboration to develop – and deliver – innovative products, services and systems that can be scaled up on a city-wide, nation-wide and even global, level.

World Green Building Council is an institutional partner of the Climate Innovation Forum.

Interactive panel discussion: Deep decarbonisation of the built environment

12:00-12:45 pm 

Deep decarbonisation of the built environment is a crucial part of the quest for a zero-carbon world. This panel will look at how we can plan, finance and deliver climate resilient, zero-carbon buildings of the future and mobilise action at scale. 

  • From policy to practice - how are government and industry rising to the challenge? 
  • What are the best practices in green building design, construction and management? 
  • How do we bring buildings into the circular economy? 
  • How can we make existing buildings better, and better used?
