World Climate Ltd proudly presents the 9th annual World Climate Summit, building on a proven record of successfully engaging businesses, investors, and governments in climate action. This years Summit is co-organised with IRENA, and will convene a diverse array of stakeholders to identify new investment opportunities, showcase emerging technologies, and form business partnerships and new deal flows, to deliver on national climate plans and the Paris Agreement. In partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Bank Group, this year’s Summit features the launch of the Investment COP, with the aim of mobilising financial investment into low-carbon projects around the world. The Summit will be held at the prestigious Vienna House Easy Angelo hotel, on December 11-12, 2018, running parallel to the UNFCCC’s annual COP24 negotiations in Katowice, Poland. The World Climate Summit - Investment COP has the privilege of being an official side event of COP24.

Buildings for Cost, Comfort and Climate

Date and Time: Wednesday December 12 2018 at 9.00-13.00, mid week 2 in High-Level days

To move towards a carbon-free and sustainable future, governments and cities across the globe needs to look at the role of ‘Buildings’. Buildings are one of society’s greatest energy consumers representing almost 40 per cent of all energy used. Today, many of the solutions already exists, which is why the Danish companies VELUX, ROCKWOOL and Danfoss have decided to focus on the theme of Buildings to raise an important agenda on the roles of buildings when we want to solve our global climate challenges. This will be done through a half-day conference during the COP24 in Katowice, Poland, at the Danish shared pavilion.
