All GBCs and their members are welcome to attend the SCI Speaker Series.

Byrna will speak about the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities program.

100 Resilient Cities (100RC), pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation, is dedicated to helping cities around the world become more resilient to the physical, social and economic challenges that are a growing part of the 21st century.

100RC aims not only to help individual cities become more resilient, but will facilitate the building of a global practice of resilience among governments, NGOs, the private sector, and individual citizens.

Byrna Lipper is Vice President for Relationships with 100 Resilient Cities. Bryna Lipper has previously held leadership roles in government, non-profit, and private sector organizations dedicated to advancing the quality of urban life. Most recently, she was the Director of Philanthropic Research and Initiatives for the Office of International and Philanthropic Innovation (IPI) at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The WorldGBC’s Sustainable Cities Initiative (SCI) supports national green building councils (GBCs) in their relationships with local governments around the world, with the aim of creating greener, more sustainable cities everywhere. The SCI also partners with other leading global organizations working towards greener, smarter cities.
