LafargeHolcim joins the World Green Building Council’s (WorldGBC) Corporate Advisory Board for 2021.

The WorldGBC Corporate Advisory Board is a select group of global leaders in sustainability. These companies serve to guide WorldGBC on its strategy and activities to accelerate the sustainable building movement.

LafargeHolcim

As the world’s global leader in building solutions, LafargeHolcim is reinventing how the world builds to make it greener, smarter and healthier for all.

On its way to becoming a net zero company, LafargeHolcim offers global solutions such as ECOPact, enabling carbon-neutral construction. With its circular business model, the company is a recognised leader in recycling waste as a source of energy and raw materials through products like Susteno — its leading circular cement.

Innovation and digitalisation are at the core of the company’s strategy, with more than half of its Research & Development projects dedicated to greener solutions. LafargeHolcim’s 70,000 employees are committed to improving quality of life across more than 70 markets through its four business segments: Cement, Ready-Mix Concrete, Aggregates and Solutions & Products.

Cristina Gamboa, CEO, WorldGBC said:

“We are thrilled to welcome LafargeHolcim to the World Green Building Council’s Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) for 2021. Through their demonstrations of market leadership towards sustainable building and construction practices, we know that they will bring a wealth of expertise and will be a huge asset to the CAB. We look forward to collaborating over the coming year to deliver sustainable buildings for everyone, everywhere.”

Magali Anderson, Chief Sustainability Officer, LafargeHolcim said:

"We are delighted to reinforce our collaboration with the World Green Building Council by joining the Corporate Advisory Board. The built environment is increasingly getting the attention that it deserves in terms of its contribution to accelerate the transition towards decarbonised, circular and equitable economies. We look forward to collaborating on this agenda with the World Green Building Council".
