Adrian is the Circularity Accelerator Programme Officer at the World Green Building Council. He works on WorldGBC’s ‘Sustainable Buildings for Everyone, Everywhere’ strategy, and focuses on the global programme, Circular Built Environment Accelerator, dedicated to advancing a circular economy in the built environment.
Prior to joining the World Green Building Council in March 2022, Adrian worked at the Green Building Council South Africa (GBCSA) and Paul Carew Consulting where he was involved in the management of numerous sustainable building certification projects in Africa, pursuing Green Star, EDGE, Net Zero or Sustainable Precinct certifications.
Adrian is a current GBCSA Green Star Assessor, EDGE Reviewer and serves on the expert Task Force related to the development of the Green Star SA New Build v2 Technical Manual.
Adrian previously completed an Architectural Studies Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Cape Town, and as an Oppenhiemer Memorial Trust scholar. He completed an International Master’s Degree in City Resilience Design and Management, at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.
Adrian is a South African, currently based in Barcelona and describes himself as an urbanist, strategist and a committed lifelong learner.
