Committed to owning, occupying and developing only buildings with net zero carbon operations by 2030.
2. Disclose
Disclose Scope 1 & 2 operational carbon emissions and energy consumption and benchmark all energy, water and waste data on at least a biannual basis, including tenant data.
3. Act
Work to achieve net zero emissions through onsite energy efficiency, onsite renewable installations, and adding capacity to the grid via offsite renewable procurement. Reduced energy use approximately 15% since 2010 and have installed 5.2 MW of solar so far.
4. Verify
Continue to build each new office building to LEED Gold or Platinum. The whole portfolio is 59% LEED certified and non-certified buildings are pursuing LEED certification through the ARC platform.
5. Advocate
Demonstrate to the real estate market that carbon neutrality is possible, and to tenants that they can demand carbon neutral buildings from landlords.
