AkzoNobel, the global paints and coating firm, has become a Partner of the World Green Building Council’s Asia Pacific Regional Network, elevating the critical role that green buildings can play within the region and in the fight against climate change.

The company, which is already a member of WorldGBC’s Corporate Advisory Board, will work closely with WorldGBC and its network of 15 Green Building Councils in the region to promote awareness of the significance and impact of green buildings and wider sustainability initiatives.

Tai Lee Siang, Chairman of WorldGBC, said:

“We need to empower our community to drive change, and in order to achieve better results, there needs to be more industry involvement and adoption of sustainable practices in every aspect of design, development, operations and more importantly, behavioural change, across entire regions.”
