Programme Intern

Location: Remote or Hybrid

Salary: $100 per day

Type of Position: Three days a week for twelve weeks

Starting: ASAP

 

The role

As part of our visionary team, you will engage directly with our impactful global strategies, focusing on Resources & Circularity and Sustainable Finance. Our internships offer hands-on experience in our dynamic global programmes, enhancing your understanding of critical sustainability issues in the built environment.

 

What will you do

  • Drive change: Assist in advancing our global workstreams by developing programme deliverables, including conducting research and authoring essential documents.
  • Engage and influence: Play a key role in engaging with our members, contributing to programme Steering Committees, and supporting our collaborative efforts.
  • Amplify our voice: Work closely with our Marketing and Communications team to craft compelling blogs, news stories, and entries for the WorldGBC Case Study Library.
  • Expand your horizons: Participate in broader organisational activities, including World Green Building Week and the annual COP events, and contribute to our Annual Report.

Projects Officer, Europe

Location: Remote – Must have the right to work and live in Europe

Salary: €28,529  to €36,000 per annum (commensurate with experience and location)

Type of Position: Full Time. 1-year renewable fixed-term contract

Starting: ASAP

 

The role

The Europe Regional Network (ERN) is a vibrant community comprising over 20 national Green Building Councils, 8 Regional Partners, and more than 4,600 members across Europe. This network includes both EU and non-EU countries. The ERN is focused on developing and implementing a robust project portfolio that delivers tangible impacts through our members and partner network.

As the Projects Officer, you will manage the daily operations of ERN regional projects and their deliverables and assist the Head of Europe in expanding the overall project portfolio. You will work closely with the head to produce regular project progress and financial reports for funders. You will also engage with ERN members and partners, particularly the established GBCs that typically lead ERN projects in the region and other global WorldGBC staff. 

Travel within Europe will be essential. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Project Management: Support the Head of Europe and the Senior Project Manager, in managing project activities, including convening meetings, communicating with GBCs and project partners, monitoring and evaluating progress and milestones, and financial reporting.
  • Partnership Cultivation: Assist in managing a portfolio of partners, foundations, and grant supporters, ensuring long-lasting, productive partnerships.
  • Content Contribution: Take responsibility for specific project deliverables, including consulting with partners and members, and working closely with WorldGBC colleagues to ensure adherence to processes and policies.
  • Reporting: Assist in preparing periodic project and grant reports, external reviews, audits, and evaluations.
  • Fundraising: Support the Head of Europe, in developing persuasive fundraising proposals and reports to attract new and existing supporters.
  • Raising awareness: Support ERN involvement and participation in events, including supporting preparation and delivery of both online and physical events as well as assisting with securing and and coordinating our involvement at external events
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other activities or assignments as delegated.
