WorldGBC membership surpasses 75 Green Building Councils as Serbia joins

Membership of the World Green Building Council has surpassed 75 Green Building Councils – as Serbia has joined.

Serbia Green Building Council is the newest, and 76th member of the World Green Building Council, and joins at the Prospective level of membership.

James Drinkwater, Director of WorldGBC’s Europe Regional Network, said:

“We are delighted that Serbia is formally part of the WorldGBC network, and their GBC has a strong strategy to support the growth of the green building market in Serbia over the coming years. As it begins its journey towards achieving ‘Established GBC’ status, we would encourage companies and organisations who are serious about growing the green building market to support its efforts.”

Dragana Korica, Executive Director at Serbia GBC, said:

“Becoming a WorldGBC member increases our participation globally – it allows us to connect regionally and cooperate with other GBCs, to exchange and share knowledge, ideas and experience of positive accomplishments in achieving common goals. It gives our members the benefit of being recognised worldwide as supporters of a sustainable future. But, above all, it allows us to be impactful in our country in our mutual fight against climate change by transforming our urban environment.”
