The Belgian Green Building Council (BGBC) is an independent association that brings together the entire building value chain – from finance to design, from materials production to management, from urban planning to end-users – as well as Belgian universities and research centers active in these fields.
As a member of the World Green Building Council and its European network, BGBC’s mission is to accelerate the transition towards a resilient and future-proof Belgian real estate sector, while positioning Belgium at the heart of international exchange and cooperation.
BGBC strives for the long-term viability of the sector, a robust and decarbonised real estate portfolio, and the recognition of Belgium as a European leader in sustainable real estate.
