The Czech Green Building Council (CZGBC) brings together companies from various sectors of the Czech Republic economy. Its members represent the whole value chain of the sustainable building sector.
The Czech Green Building Council was founded in 2009 and all its activities are aimed at meeting the “Vision Zero” objectives – that buildings have zero negative impact on the environment throughout their whole life cycle.
CZGBC encourages the market to transform the way people design, build, maintain and operate buildings and urban areas. They strive to create a healthy, prosperous, environmentally and socially friendly urban environment that improves peoples’ quality of life.
Their mission is that sustainable building will become standard in the Czech Republic, and that construction processes will efficiently use all resources, including renewable or recycled materials without producing landfill waste, and without consuming more energy than they themselves produce.
