M. Anand is a Green Building Professional, at CII’s IGBC, Hyderabad, India.
He is the Principal Counsellor and a senior team member ofIndian Green Building Council (IGBC) since IGBC’s inception in 2001. He has work experience spanning over 30 years and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Anand is closely involved in facilitating Government, Architects, Builders, Corporate & Institutions in designing green buildings as per IGBCs GREEN building rating systems, since 2001. Thus far, he has enabled over 1,000 clients in incorporating green designs in building design & construction.
Guinness World Records has awarded Anand, with Certification of Participation as a ‘Speaker’ in 2019. He is also a TEDx speaker. He brings to fore his rich and varied experience and expertise on green built environment and sustainability.
Anand shares India’s perspectives at World Green Building Council’s Forums and has participated in and contributed to meetings / sessions, since 2004, at Australia, Brazil, Canada, Dubai, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mauritius, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, United States of America
He has provided training professionals on green building concepts and has conducted more than 250 training programmes on green buildings all over the country and in Singapore and Dubai. He was instrumental in launching the online IGBC Accredited Professional (AP) Exam and over 200 IGBC Students’ Chapters in premier Architectural & Engineering colleges across India.
He is leading a team of over 50 professionals in IGBC, who are involved in the spread & growth of green building movement in India.
