Constant Van Aerschot is responsible for WBCSD’s activities in Asia Pacific and set up its local Chapter in Singapore in 2013.
He has 15-years experience in sustainability with a particular expertise in the built environment. He supports member companies in Asia Pacific to learn and adopt the latest sustainability-related standards, tools and methodologies to future-proof their company.
Constant is on the board of two non-profit organisations, a member of the Executive Council for United Nations’ ESCAP Sustainable Business Network (ESBN) and an editorial advisor for NEA’s Envision.
He was part of BCA’s international panel of experts that reviewed Singapore’s Green Building Master Plan and a senior policy researcher at “Cooling Singapore”, a project funded by NRF.
His previous roles include VP Foresight at LafargeHolcim, senior corporate strategist at Alcatel in Paris, and a practicing civil engineer in Switzerland, Germany and the UK, mainly for ARUP.
Constant graduated with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from ETH Zürich, Switzerland. He holds a Master in Business Administration from Cranfield University, UK, and a diploma in Directorship from Singapore Management University, Singapore.
