A collaborator and connector, Jeff Oatman joined the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) in 2010. Since then, Jeff has overseen the certification of more than 700 Green Star projects and has helped to build a thriving green building ecosystem in Australia. Jeff champions a collaborative network of GBCA members and industry partners who are working together to deliver world’s best practice on an impressive array of projects, from hospitals to hotels, schools to shopping centres, office towers to large-scale community developments the size of new cities. He has actively contributed to the World Green Building Council’s Asia Pacific Network since 2012. Originally from Canada, Jeff moved to Sydney via South Korea, where he worked in commercial leasing for a global real estate consulting firm. Jeff has a master’s degree in sustainable development from the University of New South Wales and is passionate about the property industry’s role moving the world towards a net zero emissions, liveable and sustainable future.
Jeff has been elected Chair of the Asia-Pacific Regional Network (APN).
