Jose is our Climate Action Coordinator for Latin America. In this role, he works closely with the global Climate Action programme and the Americas Regional Network (ARN) to support and follow up on the main activities of the regional Green Building Councils (GBCs) linked to the development of zero carbon and resilient buildings roadmaps.
Jose is a Chemical Engineer specialising in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development at Simon Bolivar University, Venezuela. He was the Technical Advisor for Venezuela GBC and the Sustainability Director for a smart and sustainable buildings consultancy firm. He has broad experience as a consultant in sustainability strategies for projects and organizations in multiple sectors, such as energy, construction, urban infrastructure, chemical, and agricultural industries.
He is a fan of Star Wars and Tolkien’s work. As a father, Jose is committed to leaving a legacy — building a better planet for his children.
