Stephen Richardson is World Green Building Council’s (WorldGBC) Senior Impact Director, and is based in Germany.
Stephen oversees WorldGBC’s regional networks, global programmes and fundraising. As Senior Impact Director, his role is to help the different teams leverage each other’s superpowers and work effectively with our whole network to deliver tangible, quantifiable change.
Stephen trained as a building services engineer in the UK, designing low carbon buildings in the private sector and local government. Before joining WorldGBC, he completed an engineering doctorate at the University of Reading, where he managed to write an entire thesis just about embodied carbon!
Stephen and his wife have a young family with three kids, so there’s not a lot of time for hobbies, but when he’s not working from home or helping with the maths homework you might find him skiing, stand-up-paddleboarding, or possibly even singing in the church choir!
