Mr Teo Eng Cheong is the Chief Executive Officer of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment & Development Co., Ltd. (SSTEC). Mr Teo holds a concurrent appointment as Advisor on the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City matters in the Ministry of National Development of Singapore.
Mr Teo has more than 30 years of work experience, including numerous leadership appointments, and harnessed knowledge from the areas of policy formulation, economic development strategies, urban solutions, infrastructure development, people management and corporate strategies.
Before joining SSTEC, Mr Teo was with Surbana Jurong Group for five years as CEO International and had contributed to Surbana Jurong’s expansion into a global architecture and engineering group. He has also previously served as the CEO of International Enterprise Singapore (now Enterprise Singapore), CEO of Competition Commission of Singapore (now Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore) and Director-General of Singapore Customs.
Mr Teo holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Economics from National University of Singapore and a Master of Science in Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science.
