1. Commit
Commit to net zero energy by 2020, and carbon positive manufacturing by 2030.
2. Disclose
Measure, disclose and assess portfolio energy demand and carbon emissions annually, and publicly report to the CDP Climate Change response.
3. Act
Further develop 2030 decarbonisation roadmap including “Save More” strategy to improve energy efficiency of operations, including passive design and efficient active systems; and “Generate More” strategy such as minimum 20% on-site power generation and a combination of renewable energy technologies. Remaining energy demand will be met through the purchase of off-site renewable energy.
4. Verify
Third party assurance of energy and carbon footprint and annual reporting to the CDP Climate Change response. Certify assets as net zero carbon through ILFI’s volume certification.
5. Advocate
Demonstrate leadership to support the wider transition towards net zero carbon buildings through industry partnerships and collaboration. Develop insulation products to significantly reduce energy usage, carbon emissions and building operational energy costs for building projects.
