Commit all assets under direct control to have zero operational carbon emissions by 2030. Achieve maximum reductions of embodied carbon in new developments and major renovations, and compensate for any remaining residual upfront embodied emissions, by 2030.
Measure and disclose annual scope 1 and 2 energy consumption and whole life embodied carbon emissions annually.
Develop and construct only highly energy efficient buildings equipped with on-site renewable generation and purchase additional energy demanded (if any) from certified renewable sources. Maximise the reduction of embodied carbon for new developments and major renovations and compensate for all residual upfront embodied carbon emissions by 2030.
Verify energy consumption and whole life carbon emissions data annually by an independent third party.
Advocate for wider emissions reductions by acting as a catalyst through core organisation activities for further action within respective supply chains. Engage with tenants and construction companies to accelerate the transition to net zero. Incorporate EU taxonomy of new construction as well as green certification in the investment process.
