Committed to becoming a carbon neutral organisation for scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 50th anniversary in 2023. Achieved carbon neutrality in September 2018, 5 years ahead of its goal.

2. Disclose

Disclose Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions using the National Carbon Offset Standard, Nation Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Determination and GHG Corporate Accounting Protocol.

3. Act

Further investigate energy efficiency initiatives to achieve a 20% reduction in energy use by 2023. Since 2010, energy efficiency improvements have saved more than AUD$1 million in energy costs.

4. Verify

Measure, verify and report publicly on carbon footprint every year and work to achieve and maintain a 5 Star Green Star-Performance rating, an increase of 1 Star above current performance.

5. Advocate

Inspire environmental awareness through partnerships with not-for-profit organisations, residents, tenants and suppliers by engaging and collaborating with staff, audiences and the community.
