Project Officer, Better Places for People
Sara is the Project Officer for WorldGBC's, Better Places for People global programme.
Sara grew up in seven countries and has more than thirteen years of volunteer experience; including in sustainable community development and direct health service provisions of vulnerable and refugee populations, particularly in Brazil, Greece, Jordan and UK.
She started her professional career as a laboratory technician and phlebotomist, later acquiring a role as Coordinator of the first MENA Green Building Congress. Sara then proceeded to join the Jordan Green Building Council as a Memberships and Outreach Officer where she also worked on Better Places for People.
Sara has a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Plymouth, UK, and a MSc in Global Health from St. George’s University of London, as well as a Micro-master from Curtin and Harvard University, including in Human Rights and Development.
Sara’s life-long ambition lies in tackling structural inequalities and inequities that prevent the realisation of wellbeing, which carry implications for the theory and practice of Global Health and the fundamental human right, that is the right to health.
Sara is fluent in English, Arabic and Japanese and is based in London, UK.
