World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) is proud to welcome global real estate services firm, JLL, as the latest Regional Partner to join our dynamic Asia Pacific Regional Network (APN).
Led by 17 Green Building Councils (GBCs) and three Regional Partners, the APN represents a region that is as vibrant as it is diverse. Home to over 60% of the world’s population, it is expected to contribute to over 50% of global GDP growth in the coming decades. The region is also at the forefront of adopting green building practices; several countries are implementing stringent green building codes and standards.
Yet it is also vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Rising sea levels, extreme weather events and biodiversity loss are amongst the many challenges faced.
The region is therefore well-placed to be at the heart of climate resilience initiatives. From economic dynamism, to being a key hub in global manufacturing and supply chains, the APN brings incredible potential to address the climate crisis at both a local and global scale.
