WorldGBC is delighted to present ‘1 New Street Square’, an exemplary new case study into buildings that display best practice approaches that enhance the health and wellbeing of their occupants.

Deloitte LLP submitted their new office under the ‘Health & Wellbeing’ pathway of the Case Study Library, having achieved both WELL Gold and BREEAM Outstanding certifications. The office scored a record 93.6%, far exceeding the ‘Outstanding’ threshold and was, at the time of certification, the highest scoring BREEAM UK Refurbishment & Fit-out 2014 project in the world and the first BREEAM Outstanding/ WELL Gold dual-certified office fit-out in the world.

Deloitte identified 1 New Street Square as the building with the most potential to deliver on their sustainability aspirations and create our ‘campus of the future’. They engaged their developer to improve the spec of their spaces and implement innovative environmental measures.
