In this Sustainable Finance webinar co-hosted by World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) and Climate Bonds Initiative, we will explore how different taxonomies have addressed green buildings and the impact these have had on redirecting finance towards sustainable development, with a special emphasis on the decarbonisation of buildings.
Taxonomy is a classification system which defines sustainable economic activities. In other words, it sets out a definition for how industry can drive investment towards sustainable projects and activities in order to meet sustainability goals. In this webinar we focus on the vital role of green buildings in achieving these objectives.
How far have governments come in implementing their taxonomies? What is the uptake of these taxonomies across the construction and real estate sector? And what must we do to go further when there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution?
Join our webinar on 11 April 2024, 11:00 CET, to gain a better of understanding of:
- The building criteria in key taxonomies and how they are instrumental in supporting the transition to low-carbon and resilient buildings.
- The challenges industry faces in implementing those taxonomies, plus examples of local and global solutions, that address the decarbonisation of the built environment.
- The impact that taxonomies have had in redirecting finance towards green buildings to date, including a closer look at innovative financing mechanisms and investment trends.
