A chartered civil and structural engineer, Bex blends over 13 years of pragmatic construction sector experience with a strategic sustainability consulting skillset. She is relationship focussed and passionate about holistic thinking and multi-disciplinary collaboration to drive the necessary transition to a net zero and resilient built environment.
Bex was the Built Environment Lead for the UN High Level Climate Champions for COP26 in Glasgow, UK and COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. A global systems transformation role, Bex provided overall strategic direction and delivery of their mandate within the sector – to mobilise stronger and more ambitious climate action from non-state actors and bring this closer to governments. Through this role she brought together the #BuildingtoCOP coalition, developed UN 2030 Breakthrough Outcome for the sector, championed the country level Buildings Breakthrough and drove sector uptake in the Race to Zero – achieving $1.2trillion real estate assets under management covered by Race to Zero at COP26.
