In his capacity as CEO of the Argentina Green Building Council (AGBC), Mr. Simon Padros promotes awareness and engages the external community to maintain the social and environmental vision and mission of the organization all over the country.

Prior to this role, he worked as Project Engineer at Bovis Lend Lease and as an independent Sustainable Consultant, achieving LEED Certification of several commercial buildings. While based in New York, he worked as a Construction Engineer for Turner Construction – where he participated in residential, office and healthcare projects, and in the clean-up process and recovery of the World Trade Center (Ground Zero). In the Company, he also worked as a Cost and Sales Engineer overseeing project’s financial risks for buildings in the US, Middle East, Europe, Asia and Latin America and supporting business development and market research. As a guest columnist, he contributed to several articles in a well-recognized construction magazine, published a green building guide on products and their impact on the environment, and participated as a speaker in various local and international conferences.

Mr. Simon Padros is also a member of the WorldGBC´s America´s Regional Network Steering Committee and a member of the USGBC’s LEED International Roundtable.

He has a bachelor degree in Architecture and a postgraduate degree in Marketing at the University of Buenos Aires, AR. He has completed studies on Environmental Design at the University of Berkeley, CA and holds a professional certification in Green Schools Building Design and a LEED Green Associate professional accreditation.
