Ian Yoo is the Executive Director of Korea Green Building Council (KGBC). Ian is one of the founding members of KGBC.
After Ian graduated from Ajou University, majoring in urban environment engineering, he started
his career as an engineer and became a commercial property appraiser in the United States. In addition to his professional career, he is volunteering as a Corporate Advisory Board member and a Sustainability Financial Working Group. Ian is also a member of the World Green Building Council. He is also a member of the First LEED International Roundtable.
Ian is also the CEO of Apath Resilience and Apath Climatech where he provides sustainability linked, financial and investment consultancy to investors. As an investment and sustainability advisor, Ian has been servicing various renowned projects such as the Seoul City International Convention District Development Project with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the USFK relocation project, the Lotte Hotel Global Expansion project, the COEX renovation project, and the Samsung HQ LEED project, Hyundai Kia Motors HQ projects.
