Ivett Flores is the Latin America ProgrammeCoordinator for WorldGBC’s Advancing Net Zero programme, the pioneering global initiative to accelerate total decarbonisation of the built environment.

In this part-time role, she works across the programme’s various global and regional activities, especially within the Latin America context, helping to develop strategies towards net-zero carbon buildings.

Through 17 years of experience in architecture firms and in one urban development company, she is convinced that design practice and theory from the platform offered by the academic field, are parallel paths that have shaped her professional development. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and she is also starting her PhD in TU Braunschweig, Germany. Her passion is the applied knowledge between architecture and energy.

Ivett earned a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, her Master’s degree in Projects for Urban Development from Universidad Iberoamericana, CDMX and Architecture and Energy from Wismar University in Germany.

Ivett is based in Mexico City and alternately in Braunschweig, Germany.
