Job Coenen is Sustainability Program Manager at AkzoNobel, the global sustainability leader in the paints and coatings industry. In this role, he is responsible for driving programs to develop the portfolio of sustainable products and services with suppliers and customers.
Job has worked for Sika Canada as vice president of marketing and business development and in that role has driven a transformation for innovation and business development and set up a strategic approach for the North American green building market. At AkzoNobel, Job has been responsible for new marketing and sales approaches having developed innovative new collaborations in the buildings market in Europe. His objective is to help companies and value chain partners implement more sustainable solutions. Job is currently responsible for driving programs in the value chain to achieve the recently SBTi approved company targets to reduce its scope 3 carbon emissions with 50% by 2030.
Job is passionate about developing the green buildings market and represents AkzoNobel in various external collaborative networks and platforms including the WGBC, the CEO alliance and GC3.
Job has a master’s degree in business administration and over 20 years of international experience in marketing, business development, logistics, supply chain, innovation, sustainability and building and improving teams and networks in national and multinational matrix organizations.
