1. Commit

Commit to scope 1 and 2 net zero emissions by 2030 for assets under direct operational control.

2. Disclose

Measure and disclose Group scope 1 and 2 energy consumption and carbon emissions through third party assured annual sustainability reporting.

3. Act

Implement decarbonisation measures through Charter Hall’s net zero pathway, including making assets more energy efficient, investing in renewable infrastructure and renewable procurement and offsetting residual emissions through quality carbon offsets.

4. Verify

Verify energy consumption and carbon emissions data at asset level through third party certification including Green Star and NABERS, and at portfolio level via independent third party assurance.

5. Advocate

Advocate by promoting Charter Hall’s Commitment. Influence partners, stakeholders, supply chains, developments and tenant customers to pursue their own net zero pathway through educating them on Charter Hall’s actions.
