1. Commit

Commit to continue all owned and occupied assets being net zero carbon in operations using offsets, with the aim to reduce offsetting to a minimum by 2030. Maximise embodied carbon reductions for new developments and major renovations of existing assets, compensating for any residual upfront embodied carbon, where applicable from 2030.

2. Disclose

JTP will review their sustainability policy annually, disclose energy consumption and yearly scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions alongside mitigation actions via website publication.

3. Act

JTP has assigned responsibility for their targets to their energy, carbon and post-occupancy evaluation working groups. The groups have been created to ensure they continue to drive sustainability objectives forward while maintaining accountability. They will implement a decarbonisation strategy, including measures to enhance energy efficiency, to reduce carbon emissions across owned assets.

4. Verify

Verify energy consumption and carbon emissions data from both London and Edinburgh offices via third party verification.

5. Advocate

JTP is a signatory of Architects Declare, committed to achieving RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge and align themselves with the principles set out within the LETI Climate Emergency Design Guide. Their in-house Sustainability Champions will help advocate for industry change, advising and encouraging their clients to target net zero carbon standards.
