NDY commits all assets under its direct control to reduce and compensate for all operational carbon emissions. NDY also commits to achieving maximum reductions of embodied carbon for any major renovations of tenanted spaces, compensating for any remaining residual upfront embodied emissions related to its actions by 2030.
NDY will continue to measure the annual energy consumption and whole life carbon emissions (if applicable) of its tenancies against the quantified baseline and publicly disclose their progress in its annual ESG report.
NDY will develop a carbon reduction strategy and action plan for all its tenancies. NDY will identify performance gaps and opportunities to reduce carbon emissions and improve its energy efficiency in its tenancies. NDY will continue to procure renewable electricity where feasible and invest in credible carbon offsets and carbon removals for residual emissions. Overall, NDY commits to achieving a 20% reduction in Greenhouse Gas Emissions by FY25 and a 50% reduction by FY30 from FY20 baseline. Additionally, NDY commits to maintaining carbon neutral status, achieving net zero emissions by FY26 and reaching carbon negative emissions by FY30.
NDY will verify its carbon emissions annually via the self-assessment pathway, procuring third-party verification every three years. NDY will achieve verified NABERS Energy Tenancy ratings in eligible locations.
NDY will continue to advocate for and contribute to research on net zero carbon through industry engagement, communications and client education. NDY will advocate for the reduction of carbon (both embodied and operational) during the design of all NDY projects.
