For the built environment sector to reach global climate goals, retrofitting buildings is a big part of the solution. It can provide profitable and scalable solutions, which improve energy performance, usability and resilience — as well as buildings which users can thrive in.
On 15 May 2025, WorldGBC is proud to host an online accelerator session as part of the World Circular Economy Forum 2025, joined by Green Building Councils (GBCs) from across the network, to discuss examples in action of:
– How retrofitting and renovation can support decarbonisation and resource efficiency – as well as the potential trade-offs.
– Leadership in action from GBCs across WorldGBC’s Americas Regional Network.
– Lessons learned from global stakeholders.
